Hi!
I have been considering making a teardrop for some time. I believe some sort of simple is what I am considering. I am thinking of making stress skin panels using filon on the exterior and 1/8" ply on the inside. I would use a minimal frame of 1/2" and 1/4" ply to make the box of the frame and internal stiffeners. The inside would be poured polyurethane closed cell foam. Probably about 6lb foam. The idea is to make bolt together stressed skin panels and preform the carcase of the tear. The thing would then bolt onto a trailer frame. This would all be wet sealed with RTV or similar material. Any comments or suggestions?

I am still looking for a trailer and many design ideas are in the works. I am thinking this will be a bit like a chuck box is to a camp kitchen. Only this is a sort of "box" for our camping gear and us.

Drop me a liine eh?

Hi, Ceeann

I'm working on a foamy, although since I don't have a garage and have been working in my driveway, the windy spring has slowed me down. Oh, and a forest fire. But we still hope to have the shell completed for a camping trip before the end of summer. As you will hear, these creations are never completed, they are always subject to a few more touches.

Have fun with your project! :applause:
