Tire problem

I am far from a newbe but I have a problem. We just came back from Glacier Nat. Park which was great. we had a spring break and I replaced both springs. Now the tires wear out. I put about 1000 miles after replacing them and they show significant wear. could the axle be bent and can it be fixed? If I buy a new axle, will that cure the problem?

You have not said what the wear problem looks like.
Alignment, measure from tongue to some point on the axle.
Have some one follow you to see if it a crabbing down the road although this should be apparent from the above.
Check to see if the axle is bent, or if it is not cambered (some require some bend).

The wear is the same on both tires. They wear like a racing slick. exactly the same all around, the tread is gone on both.

After eliminating all of the potential problems, alignment, over inflation etc. the other potential problem is that the tires are not suitable for your load range. What size are the wheels/tires what is the load range of the tires, how much does the trailer weigh loaded...
Did you have a problem with the tires prior to spring repair, were they on long enough to know, how old is the trailer... I think you can see where I am going with this.
Tire pressure is also a big factor, most/many trailer tires are 90 psi not 35 as with a car.
