Newby from Iowa

Postby jhanlon » Fri Jul 08, 2011 12:27 pm

Hi all. My name is John. I'm a computer scientist since before keyboards were invented. Punchcards will make a comeback.
I am actually remodeling my conversion van into a camping van for when I retire next spring.
Why am I here?
I met a great young couple at Brown's lake in Salix, Iowa with a TD. We were discussing galleys and 10 pounds in a 5 pound sack and they demanded I come here to the Wizrds of TD building.

I am on page 3 of the builds and have read every word and looked at all the pictures.

Truly are wizards here. I found enough information to tell me I'm doing it wrong. Tomorrow is demolition day for current trial interior and time to do it right - the TD way.

Welcome from SE Iowa.
After I retired I had plans to build a camper van---then I found out about teardrops---plans changed. I now have built two of them. We tow with a 4 cyl. small truck, better on gas.
Good luck on your project van. Every one here likes pictures.

Welcome John.

Start a photo album http://www.mikenchell.com/pichelp.html and let us see what you are demolishing. Then let us know what you have left. We love to toss around ideas...

Getting 10 pounds of stuff into a 5 pound sack is not easy...

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
