Thanks guys, it's always nice to have a response to an intro thread.
After three double fita comps in a row I've learned an air bed isn't the best when you're hoping to perform the next day.
Sadly I have no pics of my early career as a restorer so my Mk2 transit, and my austin allegro are completely un recorded, however.....
Camper no 2, a fiat 850t fiesta
Sadly unrestored and sent for scrap due to a lack of space (worst thing I ever did)
My suzuki sj410 trialler
Best fun per £ bar none, regularly shaming machinery 10 times it value, could drive 80 miles to the nearest site and drive it hard all day then take it home.
1966 magenta sprint kit car
Came to me in a very sorry state and ended up a show winner ( I only ever entered my first competition as it was the cheapest way to get secure parking on the London 2 Brighton mini run)
Based on mini 1275GT running gear and one of only 4 built.
It eventually ended up in the States somewhere.
Camper no 3 a Fiat 900t
More of a recomission than a restoration, I never used it so sold it on, immeadiately regretting it and went on ebay within hours of it leaving looking for another. Some people never learn eh?.
My latest long term resto, 1967 MG midget, a real rust bucket
Turned out nice though
It has an Ashley le mans flip front bonet and a hard top (never used) to match
I did a full resto thread with over two years worth of posts and over 80 pictures on a magazine forum but the publishers pulled the plug without warning and it was lost.
If your wondering about my fetish for smaller than average vehicles at 5'6" I can afford one
