HaHa! Thanks! Actually...thank you, Wayne!
I'm loving it! ;) :)
I do have to say, I am really starting to HATE Pennsylvania, though. I just got a phone call from AAA telling me that my paperwork for title transfer has been sent back. WHAT??? They didn't give me the title transfer!!!!
Now I have to go down there and re-file the application for title transfer. Seriously??? I suppose that will cost several hundred dollars more.
Sorry about still having your plates, Wayne...I PROMISE to send them back when this is all over. I feel like I should leave them on, because I was told by the nice lady at AAA that it is illegal to have an un-plated vehicle. Great...that's what I need...someone from PENNDOT wanting in my garage and "confiscating" it.
Is that even possible?
I think she was just trying to scare me! Although I am starting to think anything is possible in a commonwealth! $>

Oh, man! I wish I'd seen that earlier :(
I already re-filed the paperwork today...but if it doesn't go through this time, I am DEFINITELY using that trick!!!
Thanks a lot for sharing!
I'm glad someone figured out how to get around the Pennsylvania red tape!

Don't worry about the plates, No rush.
Do all the folks in PA have to go through this same hassle when registering a trailer? I'm for the out of state plan.

Yes we do!

It is absolutely ridiculous.

That's why we have found alternative solutions.

Thanks, Wayne...you're too kind!
I just got another phone call. Ten minutes ago.
My Application For Title Transfer was denied...AGAIN!
This time they say it is because of the weight discrepency.
It was 1450 in NY and 1600 (!!!) in PA.
SOoooooo...now I have to take it elsewhere and yes...pay more money...to get it weighed and notorized AGAIN!!!!
Then re-file.
What is wrong with this state?!!!!
!@*&^$@!!!(!!!*)$@#!#$^*
I wish I would've known about "lternate means of registering" before I started the whole process in PA. Now I am out a lot of money, and I wonder if I can even start all over again in another state?

OMG, they are crazy...for a difference of 150 lb., put on gear, take off gear, do whatever you have to do to make them match. OR, make that phone call to Maine.

I'm so sorry you have to start your ownership of your new trailer like this. :(
Where did they come up with 1600lb???
Personally I would have snapped by now.
And why do you have to wait so long to get a reply.
Here in NY, you go down to the DMV with all the paper work filled in, and if not they will make sure it's complete wile your there.
You pay a couple of bucks and your out of there.
Then you have ten days to get the trailer inspected. Lights, blinkers, brakes!
