I do not currently own a teardrop or other trailer, but I have a mighty case of the wants! We never even had one growing up, but I was always fascinated by the idea of a self-contained home on wheels, and poked through ones owned by friends whenever I could.
I do have some experience camping. A few years ago, my family (at the time my parents and I) lived in a tent for a month and then a shed for two more months while we waited for a mobile home to be delivered to our land in Oklahoma. I might have brain damage - I actually enjoyed waiting for them to go to town so I could take a bath in a big Rubbermaid tub! Of course, I had to listen for cars coming around the circle, just in case!
Most recently my camping has been at large gatherings where everything has to be hauled in - though the campgrounds do have a shower house and portapotties set up. I camp in a tent that's technically a 3 person tent, but you'd have to really like the other two people. My friends call it the Hobbit Hole, and apparently talk to other people about my setup - we are camping elsewhere this year with a new group and when I emailed the coordinator to let her know what kind of space I'd need I was told my tent is "legendary"

Anyway, teardrops caught my eye because they remind me of my "Hobbit Hole" - small, and easy to set up for a average-sized woman by herself. I am married, but my husband is allergic to - let's just say "outdoors" so while I always try to get him to go camping with me, he has backed out every time.
I also love the pictures of vardo-esque tiny travel trailers I've seen that are all self-contained and decorated up. Not to mention, come the robot/zombie wars, it might come in handy to flee and live in one hidden away in the safety of the hills! And maybe with the ability to stand up and have AC, hubbylove might actually come with me. Maybe.
I have a bathroom remodel to pay off as quickly as I can, and then I'm going to start saving for some sort of Hobbit Hole on wheels. In the meantime, I will research and plot and maybe even make a foam core board 1/6th model to see what I want!
Anyway, sorry to ramble on, thanks for reading!
