I have 16 years exerience w/ CAD and pretty good w/ SketchUp. I drive a VW TDI Golf that gets around 50MPG on the highway. Family and I like to camp, and I like to ride my bike. I have some weird (well maybe not to weird if this web page exists!) desire to turn my little HF 40"x48" trailer into a cargo, camping, put the expensive MTN bike on top, take off for the weekend or two weeks type of trailer. Obviously it is to small for a teardrop. I'd like to make it efficient enought that the Diesel VW can tow it, which I have towed it before w/ around 800 pounds of stuff in heavy totes loaded onto it when we moved from CO and still got 42MPG! But I'd also like to make it large enough to be able to haul a descent size tent, all my camping/cooking (I love cast iron cooking) and maybe even a charcoal grill, for when we take the Honda Pilot on these trips. I am going to spend some time researching and looking aat this web page...so far I think it's awesome. My wood working skills are beginner to moderate...so lets see how much fun I can have...Nice to meet everybody!
