Howdy, I'm Lee from the Branson area of SW Missouri. I'm 48 and all I was searching for was parts for a trailer. I clicked on a link and now I have a new winter project. Poop.

Anyway, I've started the research and reading, but I think I love the Hopper/Weekenders so I'll be looking at as many as I can find.

If someone could point me to the basic plans for the hopper, I'd greatly appreciate it.

And I really like the little community y'all have here.

Welcome, the designs in the design library along with the Generic Benroy plans should give ya what ya need to start...along with all the good advice you can receive here....good luck and most of all...HAVE FUN..........

Printed off the Generic Plans and I think the Simple is more to my liking. Is it sacrilege to not build a hatch/galley? I'm thinking of just a storage space area in the back. I prefer to cook over an open campfire. I guess you can say I'm a "Casthead". I like things very simple and minimalistic.







Except for my TV/DVD player.

Build what YOU want! Some will say it hurts resale down the road !

Some will say how can you live without your tiny little "kitchen"

My first has a deluxe swing out galley.


My second has a micro galley.




My third is nothing but a galley (a 4x8 chuckwagon dedicated to nothing but cooking )




and my 4th is a tiny 4x7 sleeper with no galley at all.



HOWEVER I did equip the 4x7 with double bat wing tables for food prep and cleanup. So all are different
and all have a character of their own with their pluses and minuses but kinda like kids ya love 'em all for what they are.

Welcome to the T&TTT forum from the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC! I stumbled upon this group while searching pop-up campers a few years ago!

There was a thread awhile back some advantages of no galley, but I can't seem to find it now. One point I recall is that it makes for a simpler build and there is less concern about leaks.

My modified weekender does not have a full galley, but it has a hatch and storage.

I agree with "build what works for you". Keep us posted regarding progress!

Great looking weekender alfred. I just wonder how long your 5 will fit in there!! But it's a great design. And I really like the way you did the door. And I think you made up my mind about the interior. I love the rustic cabin look. I was kinda thinking about a Parrot Head motif, but I may incorporate some of that anyway.

Well ideas are flowing and evolving and the plan is forming. I picked up a router today and priced plywood. This next weekend is snag a trailer weekend and we're off to the races.

Quick question: anyone use a air stapler? Was thinking of picking one up for the framing and skinning.
