aha, nope. sorry, I specified in a later post. towing with a 1998 honda civic hatchback. 1.6 4cyl, about 105hp.

D16Y7 motor? 5 speed?

Swap in a D16Y8 5 speed tranny, its better ratios will help with towing.

mm the si tranny eh? It will definately be a thought. 2nd and third gear are a bit shorter.

there are many mentions of what you ask on the forum start with looking on top of the forum 4th line down sdtripper2's Index.

You may want to take a good look at you axel and see if it is the right place. And if not if you can move it, or refigure your weights.

I did not from a boat trailer pulled by a Carolla. it pulls down in the back.
