Newbie in Eureka CA

Hello all tin lizzy's
We bought our 1948 Tourette from Portland OR last fall and can't wait to get it camping this summer. I remember camping as a kid with my mom and siblings at Lake Kirkwood (now a ski resort off Hwy 50 near Tahoe) in our teardrop. I have wanted one a long time and when my husband bought a sailboat as his lifelong passion, I decided I should get the trailer. It took a long time to find one that could fit my husband's 6'2" frame. This is 5 feet wide and 10 feet long. We will be looking to the veteran TT campers for advice. See you in NW CA and OR trips! Suzi

Welcome and nice TD. I love those old trailers. Did you do any restoration on it or was it ready to go?

Welcome to the forum and to teardropping. For a small town Eureka is a hotbed of teardroppers. Dean and Joanie, Kevin A and I are at least four local to Eureka and there are others as well.

8) Hi Suzi,
Glad you made it on "board"! I look forward to camping with you and your spouse soon.......like Father's Day weekend. It was GREAT to talk with you and I hope you are finding out the info needed about upkeep of the TD.
Best wishes,
Joanie
