New Guy from SE CT

Postby Want2camp » Mon Jan 02, 2012 3:53 pm

Hello all!
I am from SE CT just like another member. (Waterford area) Happened on this forum while checking out the Camp-Inn site. Very happy to be part of this forum as the subject matter is right up my alley.
I built a TTT last spring over the course of 2 1/2 months. All designs except one were in my head. Experimentation/trial & error were my friends. I don't have much of an idea of how much it cost but it was alot of fun. I will post pictures when I can.
While not intended to be slept in, (this may disqualify me from this forum) I would if need be. The frame is 4x8 but the sleeping area is about 4x5'5''. I' m 5'11" so . . . we use it mainly to haul our gear. I would build another in a heart beat and may just do so using some of the plans submitted here.

I look forward to meeting you all, if only on-line, for some and learning more about this VERY COOL way to travel! Sincerely Ken S.

Welcome, Ken. You'll like it here, lots of good info being shared. My wife and I took our teardrop to Connecticut in 2009. We stayed at Rocky Neck State Park. We rode the steam train and riverboat in Essex, and visited the aquarium in Mystic. Nice country up there! Here's a pic of our setup at Rocky Neck. It's a really nice park!

Hi Sam!

Wow, do I feel inadequate!! That is a BEAUTIFUL teardrop!!! :applause: My trailer is not nearly as nice as that. The wife and I grew up in S.E. CT though are not from the same town. We really like it here and are glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. There is so much to see during the different seasons.
This may become a favorite site to visit, even more than facebook :beautiful: All the pics of my trailer are on my facebook page but I wiil try to post as many as possible over the coming w/e.
I hope you and your wife come back to our area soon.

Ken
