newbie here

Hello everyone! I would love to build a teardrop camper that I could pull behind my goldwing trike sooo it needs to be light and I am ok with 4 foot wide. Any suggestions? To keep weight down I thought about using 2- 1/4- 4x8 sheets of birch plywood with 1/2 inch foamboard (the pink stuff) sandwiched between, not sure what to use for adhesive. Then use pine for the cabinets. the goal here would be to try to keep it under 500lbs. My trike will pull more weight but its the stopping that worries me.

Clear skies and thanks, Steve W.

Steve,

Welcome to the forum.

I used 1/4" on the outside, 1/8" for the inside of me built. If I built another one, it will be both 1/8" inside and out. It will still be plenty strong and help keep the weight down.

Welcome to the forum! If you start going to some gatherings, you'll get lots of ideas. The next Wisconsin one is at the end of April. See the Cooler Near The Lake VI thread. It's a fun event, and there will be tent campers there who will be thinking of what to build. You'll be able to see lots of people's trailers.
