Long time member but a newbie all the same!

Postby Tucguy » Sat Mar 03, 2012 12:22 am

Hello from Tucson. How about longest lurking member after joining? I joined on Dec. 18, 2005. I am member 2026. I just posted for the first time a few days ago. I have been an avid camper, backpacker, and traveler my entire life. I now feel that with my experiences, I can give advise on camping and teardropping. I never needed to post, I found all of my questions answered because someone else had already asked. I had plans to build a teardrop and even bought a HF frame but then in Nov. 2009, I found a beautiful 2006 5 wide Little Guy Platform for a great price, garaged, and only used 3 times. I found it on this forum's for sale section. I have used it extensively and love it. It is basically a very good trailer. I do plan on making the galley more to my liking soon. I will add more pictures to my personal album as time allows. Thanks Mike for setting up this wonderful place of fun, knowledge, and good people. I have not been to a gathering but might hit the spring clean with the tearjerkers in Chandler/Phoenix later this month. I have camped in regular campgrounds, none with electricity, and dispersed as well. I am 59 and work as a structures specialist for Bombardier's Commercial Aircraft Division here in Tucson. They have their largest north American service facility here at the Tucson International Airport.

Wow, you have been lurking a long time. Welcome, finally!

Got a picture of your teardrop?

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Thanks Mike, my album does have a couple of pictures of my tear. I have lots of pictures and am currently learning how to make them smaller. I downloaded the InfanView and am getting there. The pictures that I do have up already were taken with an older floppy disc camera and now I have a newer multi-pixel camera and the :pictures: pictures must be reduced. I will be putting them up as I can. Steve the Tucguy. By the way I have been enjoying your build of the foam standie. Nice work!
