Hi guys, I'm a newbie. I found this forum and thought you all might be a good resource to ask my question. sorry if this is the wrong area. But I'm an amateur astronomer, and my goal is to find/buy/buy-and-modify an existing cargo trailer (such as a wells cargo style motorcycle trailer) that will FIT INTO A TYPICAL GARAGE space in my home, and make it into a mini-travel trailer with a toilet, AC, room for a small bed, a fridge, and space maybe for a few other things, in addition to the fairly large amateur telescope that I'll wheel up into the cargo space for transport, and wheel out and use on site. This is for weekend and longer trips to dark sky sites in AZ and elsewhere. Cost is an issue of course, but I'd like to spend less than a mini-toy hauler (such as made by KZ etc), plus no commercial units would ever fit into a garage. I'm okay with a very short height, it's not for hanging out in, its for necessities like sleeping and eating only.
Anyone know of resources that might guide me? Companies that modify existing cargo trailers?
I'm open to doing it myself, tho I'm not terribly skilled with tools...
Thanks for any advice...
