I'm suffering from a case of insomnia, so I thought I'd say hello. I'm Jeff and my wife is Laurie, from Huntsville Alabama. We have been tent campers for the past 25 years, but middle age has begun to set in, and getting up off of an air mattress on the ground is beginning to really "inhale sharply." We love getting back out in the woods, so we have been looking for a better way to do it.
The reason I can't sleep is that I'm all excited. I have the day off work tomorrow, and I'm going to use it to begin building our tiny travel trailer. I already have the chassis parked in the back yard, and the windows, entry door, and roof vent are paid for and soon to be shipped. We are going to build a modified squidget design. It will be wide enough for almost a king sized bed, a little taller so I don't bump my head, and about a foot longer than the original design to allow for a bigger door so I don't have to squeeze through like a Doberman trying to come in through the cat flap. (I'm a big ol' boy)

I'm really looking forward to building it, and even more to camping with it. You folks have already given me some great ideas, and helped me aviod mistakes I might have made

Thanks,
Jeff
