Newbie from Eastern Ontario Canada

I figured it would be best to join up rather then skulk around and gather up other peoples hard work and not contribute to the group... if there is anything I can contribute...
I am planning on building two trailers: one compact teardrop for toting things around behind a 1964 Peugeot BB1 CT moped and a second one for actual travel trailering behind a 1974 BAT MK2 motorbike. As both tow vehicles have less then 2.5hp motors I will need to gather up some information on building light weight campers from the experts who may have gone before me.
After searching the internet I find that this is quite ambitious, however, I have had some success with fabricating a sidecar for a 1970 Mobylette moped in our herd, Just that the equipment in a sidecar is rather spartan compared to what I would feel would be a well equipped trailer.
Here is how the sidecar turned out - obviously my carpentry skills still need a bit of honing.

So from a local farm auction I purchased a pair of bicycle trailers, the ones intended for transporting children behind a bicycle. They are very much beaten to heck as far as the fabric rigging, but the frame is solid.

Stripped off all of the fabric and attaching hardware for the original set up. Rather spartan looking frame without all of the attachments. All of the parts are serviceable including the hitch mechanism, though I may be replacing that for something a bit more robust.

Now I will have to go back to lurking around the forums and see what others have done to get some ideas and scale down the design to fit the available frame space.

gooluck on the build looks very interesting. I had a peugot moped years ago(and a Honda), used to ride to work on it. :)

Thank you for the welcome.

I just realized yesterday that I should put my build on the "Build Journals" section...
