New in Virginia

Postby Kanguru » Sat Oct 06, 2012 7:05 pm

Hello,
Have had an on and off interest in teardrops for a long time. Would love to meet builders and owners in Southwest Va. Am looking at building or buying...but on the low $ side. My wife and I I like biking (recumbent trikes) Hammock camping (backpacking) and kayaking. TD is just another adventure...or means to get to one. Already wasted $19.00 on plans before finding the much better free ones here. Thanks for an already great source of info.

Welcome

Take a bit of time and look around. You might find that a Toyhauler
might be nice. There even a few that have Teardrops on back and
platforms on the front for ATV’s or your bikes.

Of check out this one being build as we speak .

Thanks junkboy. Actually the trikes fit in the minivan and kayaks on top. What we need is a place to sleep. I think it's down to 2 options...this http://www.jdtrailers.com/id5.html or build myself. I have the build capability, including welding the frame, bu not so much free time. Unless I give up my trike, backpacking, and kayak time.
