Reintroduction

Postby alaska teardrop » Sat Oct 20, 2012 2:54 pm

I joined this forum shortly after Mike started it. Since I've been gone for awhile, I feel that need to reintroduce myself. Back then the forum was somewhat more freewheeling & I got myself in a little hot water. Didn't get thrown off, but expressed my opinion on forum behavior privately to Chief of Police, Madjack, & a couple of others (forget having a civil discussion about climate change on the internet). Since then Mike made rules the & the forum seems more civil & PC, if you will. At the same time I experienced a personal tragedy. But more than any of that, I had to spend my efforts preparing for retirement. Now retired & living in the country near Greenville, Michigan. I certainly miss Alaska, but heck, now I have running water & indoor pluming.
My first three teardrops were built before this forum existed & have recently built a fourth.
I thank Mike. By maintaining this forum he has brought together & expanded knowledge on small camping trailers expendtually from what had existed seven years ago.
I would especially like to say hi to old friends. And if it's ok, continue to share my experience for what it's worth.
    :peace: Fred
P.S. Mike, you might change my title to 'Ex-Farthest North Teardrop Builder' & pass the other on to whomever claims it.

Hi Fred,

Welcome back! So now you're in the Great Lake State too, eh? But you're not far enough north to be called a Yooper! So what do we call you?

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Anything, but late for dinner.
& thanks for the change, but in Alaska, 'Farthest North' is always spelled with an a. There's the farthest north Harley dealer, Boyscouts, Girlscouts , rock'in roll bar ect, ect.
