Hello all. My name is Troy and I have caught the teardrop bug. After going on a tent camping trip this summer and my husband aggravating his back condition we discussed renting or purchasing a camper. As we are a single income household the purchase of a vehicle capable enough of towing a trailer is not an option. I began looking at tent trailers because they are light enough to tow with our Saturn L300. I came across a teardrop and began researching them. A teardrop is perfect for us. A mix between camper camping and tent camping. I would like to build a teardrop camper sometime soon. My first order of business is securing a utility trailer of the right size (5x8 at least). I do not have the expertise to weld a trailer so I will have to purchase one. Well that is it for now. Thank you for this great resource and support.
