Hi from Northwest Louisiana

Postby catsmith » Tue Oct 30, 2012 6:56 pm

My name is Robert and my bride is Jenny. 5 kids, one daughter-in-law, 3 grandkids, dogs and a cat keep us really busy. Mike and Brenda gave me the grand tour of the Cash Cow this weekend at the State Park. We were talking and I am seeing a tiny trailer in our future. We love the family and enjoy every minute with them but there is NO ROOM for them in one of these! Got me thinking! Don't have a clue what we want yet but.......we want one!

Welcome Catsmith. Sorry we didn't meet but it was a good time to look at teardrops if you are interested. As a grandparent, this is perfect for alone time for just the two of you. If they decide to come along, there is always a tent. :D

Welcome to the forum, Catsmith, and it's about time that you break away from your loving family and get yourselves a "Grandparent's Get-Away" teardrop trailer. Lets see, the conversation goes something like this: Good by kids, grandma and grandpa are going camping, hold down the fort 'till we get back, love ya, G-by.

Only in a teardrop, can you enjoy that kind of togetherness, where there isn't room for the whole clan. Enjoy those little ones, but enjoy yourselves as well....OK, it's decided, so the next post we get from you folks will be how proud and happy you are to have found your perfect teardrop and can't wait to meet similar folks around the campfire.
8) :) Roly, the li'l ol' So Calif woody guy.

I will second Roly! Our kids grew up tent camping and it was only when we had the empty nest that we could contemplate upgrading. The tear lets us economically travel and this summer we made a trip out West for a full month. Our plans next summer include a two-week trip to Lake Superior Provincial Park. Our daughter was the most enthusiastic of our children camping, and the plans are that they and the twins ( two years old next summer ) will come up for a couple days. they will have an in-tent's experience with the advantage of the teardrops kitchen/galley. One of the goals for the teardrop was to have it so that it was as easy to prepare meals and clean up as it is at home and the three burner cooktop and 6 gallon hot water heater make that possible.

Some day I hope to build my own and enjoy it but for now I enjoy camping in my cargo. To me its not the trailer its the people and cooking I enjoy the most.

Welcome to the forum! I'm in Shreveport if you want to drop by sometime. We love our teardrop and have used it a lot in the past 5 years.
