Hi, I haven't gotten a light trailer yet. Teardrops are a possibility. We are still looking, but so far I am leaning toward the cargo trailer conversion.
We used to have a 24 ft travel trailer when our kids were younger, but we sold that and went back to tent or car camping after they were grown. A couple of years ago we got a topper for our Toyota Tacoma. I have camped out of it for a few years. It is fine, and I am for the most part comfortable in it, but I would like something that I can leave loaded up and ready to go.
So most of the time I just go high up into the mountains and get a lot of hiking and fishing in. Some of my trips are only overnight, but many are extended stay with lots of traveling to get to an area out of the path of the smoke. I want something that is lightweight, but rugged enough to go on lots of dirt roads. And still small enough not to be a huge pain and expense to tow.
I have enjoyed everything that I have read so far on this forum. You all are a great bunch, with fantastic ideas and solutions. Thanks for everything I have learned so far. I am looking forward to learning a lot more.
