Well, we did our first TINIEST of gatherings this past weekend. You can view the pictures in my album. We don't have our tear finished, yet, but we went up to enjoy KP & Dana's new SUNSHINY :D yellow teardrop. You might know my brother, KP, from the ITG in Minden, NE where he took his Hillbilly Hotel last year.

If we get our camper done, we are going to the LAST GASP next month at the Royal Gorge and in Oct, we plan to go to the LCGIII near Shreveport.

Cynda, you forgot to mention that there was not much sunshine all weekend! :rainy: Mainly rain, fog, hail and it was COLD! :snow It sure did not seem like the middle of August to us. But we had a good time when the sun decided to shine at least long enough to cook and fish a little! :wakka wakka: looking forward to you guys getting your TD :hammer: done so we can do it again!!

Julie, we're up by Greeley...but you can come and even camp in our yard. Sometime we have a pond and a firepit. :guzzle: This last weekend it was even a lakefront from the 4.6 inches of rain we got. :applause:

Welcome aboard. You are one gathering up on my wife and I. 8) (We are yet to manage a gathering)

Well if you don't want the hassel of building, you can always get one of the locals to the Northwest. It would match your brother's pretty good:

Image to the playground Cynda and Steve. Good luck on the build and the Last Gasp. You will definitely enjoy that one. Be sure to take pictures so the bubble oil doesn't get outta whack.

Enjoy

So, I came up with this little song.

:M Hatch-maker, hatch-maker, make me a hatch. Find me a hinge, catch me a latch. Hatch-maker, hatch-maker shape me some wood and make me a perfect hatch. :M

Cynda and Steve,

Glad to see you were working away over Labor Day weekend... the "Last Gasp 2008" is only 20 days away.... and Dana and KP joined me over the weekend for a quick trip tio the Royal Gorge Campground, where we are having it!!!! I got to see Dana's new SUNSHINE YELLOW teardrop!!! WOW!!! it's a beaut! I was also joined by Jane from Colorado Springs, her first time to hook up and tow without the aid of her husband Kris! She did really good! and George Thornton and his grandson Ryan joined us.... Then again the "us" was my daughter Candie and 5 kids and 3 dogs!!!! two tents, the van and the "Cherry Drop" held us all and we had a great weekend!

Hope to see you there in 3 weeks!!!!

Pam, I knew they were at the Royal Gorge, but he didn't text that you guys were there, too. Yep...2 and 1/2 weeks and counting down to the LAST GASP!! :ilovecamp:

Good for Jane. :clapping hands: I won't be that brave for a while. We'll have to make sure that the little campie is all road worthy before I'll strike out on my own. Dana made hers small enough to go by herself, but ours is pretty big & heavy. 5X9+.

Maybe an "all girls" trip next year, though??
:lady:
NEED PACKING HELP. I'm not sure what all I need to bring along...it's been so long since we had a camper and went camping. (Boat never gets used either.) You guys will have to remind me. Pot luck on Saturday night?? :picnic:

Thanks, Cynda

Bear Lake

Postby enigmak » Fri Sep 05, 2008 7:10 pm

We had a great time visiting with Pam and family and George and family. Sorry we missed Jane, that would have been a great visit too! Just to let you all know that we are going to leave early in the morning and head to Blue Lake (near Cuchara) again. :relaxing: We are hoping for a little less rain, snow, sleet and more sunshine!! If any of you are around stop in and see us. You won't miss us in the bright yellow tear. 8) I also need helping naming the bright yellow sucker!! Help me pick between the "Happy Camper" with smiley face on it and the "Sunshine Inn" with the sun painted on it. I can't decide and KP won't help he says It's mine, so I have to name it. Well, I had better get packing so we can head out early in the morning. We are looking forward to the "Last Gasp"! See you all there!! :woohoo:
