ooks like with a mod to your spare tire set up that a galley should be doable...the chuck box idea is a pretty good one as well, especially if you could find an old(large) steamer trunk.......

Thanks for the welcome!! I am thinking of doing the spare tire to a table idea and a chuckwagon.

I did a search on "spare tire table" and didn't have much luck. Any ideas on how to refine it so I can find something? Thanks

Hey Wheeldog!

I ran into you somewhere else today reading a thread about the Iditarod ... let me see....hmmmm.....maybe ADVrider. I looked for Advrider salute smiley face emoticons but no luck. I plan to get up that way on my KLR in the next couple of years so save me a beer.

You will get alot of good information here!

Welcome to the board!

Yeas she is. Although I've never met her, several on this board know her. From what I understand, she sold her tow vehicle and trailer.

Hey thanks for the welcome!!! Be sure and look me up if you come to Alaska :) Yeah.....we been riding our motorcycles kinds late in the year.

We have lots a camping room at our place. I let folks stay in my tear and I have an old pickup camper.....not to mention tent space.

If your gonna ride your bike up.....do it in June. The LFMC has a poker run every Fathers Day followed by a pig roast at our place.

All the locals head to Dawson for solsitce.....I am planning my first trip this summer.........

Looks like the Poker Run is a good time! I will plan accordingly!

I was planning on mid June so I could do the D2D...and I heard the mosquitoes aren't as bad then.

From Mid May to Mid July is *usually* our best weather. Skeeters will be in the swampy areas.

You can plan your trip to hit Fairbanks and Denali Park first then come down to the Anchorage area, catch the poker run and check out the Kenai. Then ride up to Dawson with us locals......then head out for home.

Here is a suggested tour of Alaska I put together a few years ago....

Hang out at the GWN section of Adventure Riders for local info.......lots a locals hang out there.
