Hi Aunti M,

I just looked at your photos. That's a great teardrop...looks really well constructed. And I must confess that I'm jealous you have so much room next to the bed! A potty, inside, wow! I bought one of those portable privy/shower tents since we have NO room next to the bed. That's the advantage of building yourself...you can include all these things that make life easier. I'll post more photos in a couple of days since the DH has finished painting one side of the camper, and I made new curtains and found some different pillows for the inside.

Take care :D

If you are ever traveling east on Hwy 70, Daily RV a few miles before you get to Goldsboro have been very interested in my teardrop project and the owner has offered many suggestions based on his experience repairing RVs and building camper / horse trailers. The entire staff has been very helpful, sorry to hear Hawley's is so lame but I will keep that in mind if I need parts. Daily also has a lot of used parts in a upstairs loft that I have been able to purchase for a reasonable price.

Ok...so the fireworks at Benson Lake rocked!

We had a great time and we enjoyed getting to meet team Sunflower40 and their friends from Ohio...not to mention we got a sneak peek of their really neat little camper...

Ya'll...Sunflower40's going to have some fun with the new member of their family!

Definately looking forward to seeing you all again...hopefully fully healed by then!

Cheers!

More Photos of the Sunspot

Postby Sunflower40 » Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:26 pm

Well, now that the Sunspot has been painted, I took new photos of it out in the sun. Just click on our album to view them.

We haven't decided what to do about stripes & stickers yet, but it's really cleaned up and looking good now. The interior is clean and has new curtains and some new pillows. We will probably recover the cushions, put down new carpet, put up new wallpaper, and maybe reface the cabinets over the next couple of years. After all, is it ever really finished? For now, though, she's packed and ready to go!!!!!
