Just noticed your posts and locations! Glad to know that there are other Iowans interested in TD! We built our first TD, and are already planning our second one! We will be camping in NE Iowa in September! We really enjoy TD time! And the looks...and the questions! HA!?

We are going to meet our son and his wife at Maquoketa Caves State Park. We have only camped local with the TD so this will be a good chance for a road trip to a part of the state that we have not been to yet. Randy what part of the NE do you live?

Good Morning, Rooky & Bodyman,
I used to live in the Quad Citys, so know of the Maquoketa Caves. If you would not mind some company this might be a chance to meet some other Iowa Teardropers.

I live about 90 minutes NW of Maquoketa Caves at Manchester. Very close to Backbone State Park. We also have several very nice county parks in the area.
I have checked out Maquoketa Caves but have never camped there.
I have a very busy next few weeks but will be at Tears by The River just east of Maquoketa In Illinois Sept 11-13. http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=28134 When are you camping? There will be about a dozen teardrops. Check it out if possible :D

Hi Randy, we wanted to make Tears By the River, but too much going on that weekend.
Jim & Diane, your company would be welcome. We will be there on the 25th & 26th of September. We see that there are 2 sites left for that weekend, we will be sharing a spot with our son and his wife. I think he said that he reserved site #8.
It would be nice to meet someone else as warped as we are, TD wise that is.

Rodger,
Thanks for the invite. Don't think we can make it to Maquoketa that weekend, going south the week before. Hope to meet you at another time.
