I'm starting to like that idea too BobHenry, but I'm worried about weight.

I still need to know what materials I should use. Pressure treated or not. CPES or roofing tar? What's going to protect the bottom frame the best?

Also, how much clearance should I give that "basement"?

These are things I need to know before I start the build.

One other thought. I was looking at some pictures and I noticed a camper hooked up to a camp site and there were three lines from the pole to the camper.

What hook-ups are usually provided at camp sites?

Some have electric only, some have electric and water , and some have electric water and sewage dump right at the site.

I string a 10 gage cord for my A/C or Heater from the 20 amp service and a second 12 gage cord to plug into the trailer.

Hi Postal Dave. Ah, another Upstater. Welcome. I was on vacation when you posted this and just saw it today. Good to see more folks from our area. You've definitely found the right place to get any help you may need. These folks are the gurus. I'm in mid-stages of my build. It took me three years to get started, but such is life.

If there's anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask. I'm no guru, but I can rely on my multitude of "oops" to tell you what not to try.
