John, I was born in Schnectady, NY, lived around the Saratoga area until I left for college at MSU in East Lansing in 1963. My last years of high school were in Saratoga. Just went back last year for my 50th HS reunion. That area of the country sure is still very awesome. Your now being in MN should make you a fellow Big 10 fan now. I spent a lot of time at Saratoga Lake and my parents actually owned land on the river leaving the lake, Fish Creek. I bet you worked at Malta.

I too worked for GE, starting in Schnectady and then moved to Phila, Boston and then VA with them. That is the route I used to VA. This area of the country is also quite stunning and I hope to share that with others with photos once my CT is completed. I leave next Thursday to PA to pick it up. The Brake Control Module was put in the truck last week, the 2 5/16 hitch is ready and it is just a matter of time.
Bob

Bob, this truly a small world -- We must have crossed paths somewhere along the road
I starting working with GE Nuclear as a QA Manager (sub-contractor over contract inspectors) in '79, first starting at Nine Mile 1 near Oswego, NY, then over to Connecticut to work on the S1C near Bradley, then to Saratoga Springs to work on the D1G and a couple of other plants, then off again, back up to NY, this time Nine Mile 2, then of to Peach Bottom and Susquehanna in PA, and ended up working several other plants in PA before going of to Mass to work at a couple of plants there. By the end of the 80's, GE had started their own sub-contract organization and I headed back to AZ and went to work for AlliedSignal, which bought Honeywell and kept the name Honeywell. I worked with HW ... doing a lot of travel through the 90's and up to about 2005; after over 30 years on the road, I was finally able to hang close to home (Phoenix) until I retired last year ... and then moved from AZ to MN, hmm ... sounds reversed :duh: a desert rat in snowshoes :snow :snowstorm:

Glad to hear you are getting your CT ready to go ... maybe we'll get a chance to meet ... or is it, meet again
Happy Camping & Building,
John (JC)
