Great Story BH,
A couple of comments on the plan. I think its doable. Here's my thread.
viewtopic.php?f=50&t=49591 I purchase a partially done TD, a shell on a trailer on March 23,2012 on April 7, 2012 I pulled it cross country. I did get a head start with the walls cut and the roof on, and trailer built but I had to undo/redo a few things. It only had 1 door, and no insulation, but it did have AC, 120V power a TV and AC. The only tools I had were a 18V Ryobi rechargables and hand tools I pick up as I went along. With a 3 person crew for a week, good tools and all the materials available you should be looking good in 18 days.
My projected schedule ( assuming 3 workers
Day 1&2 assemble trailer and cut sides including door holes /doors
Day 3 Put floor on trailer frame, put sides on Trailer, install spars, assemble doors
Day 4, install Ceiling, insulation and any wiring for ceiling Cut cabinets and assemble basic cabinets
Day 5 Install Roof, Start Galley hatch
Day 6 complete galley hatch, wire trailer, Install doors
Day 7 wire trailer, install battery and charging system
Places you will get hung up.
1) Decisions, like how long the bed should be etc could delay things
2) Fitting and sanding. The more time you spend making things perfect the longer it will take.
3) Details. The Generic Benroy plans are pretty straight forward, adn I think with a qualified team of 3 it could get done in a week. If you do something different, then its going to add time. Make sure all your workers have a copy of the plan and know what parts they will be working on, so they don't have to stop you to ask too many questions. The GB plans are also good to help determine the order to things, and they will let you know when you need to wait on something because you need to do something else first. Read them and know them.
