Hello from Wisconsin

Postby see2nen » Mon Oct 16, 2006 10:39 am

Hello All,
I built a small travel trailer back in the early seventies. I sold it to my Dad a few years later, he still has it. I'm thinking of making a teardrop now that I'm close to retirement. I have started to download files and do some research. I'm looking for good parts sources also.

got carried away looking for ideas

Postby see2nen » Thu Oct 26, 2006 7:33 pm

Hi All,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I forgot to come back and look at my post here.
I have been too busy looking for info and working up ideas on the cad machine. I have a CNC router that can cut 4' x 8' sheets of plywood. I'm ready to proof my side profile idea in an old scrap of chipboard in the next day or two. I'm also thinking of picking up an axle soon.
I am in Osseo, Wi about 3 hours west of Green Bay, still working but checking out the retirement options.

CNC and Plywood

Postby see2nen » Thu Oct 26, 2006 9:31 pm

The cnc files go good by email. The hard part is getting the cancelled postage stamps off the plywood when they are mailed back.

I'm just down the road in Neillsville. I haven't started my teardrop project yet, but looking forward to it in the next couple years.

Hi Dan

I go through that area a few times a year on my way to Appleton to vist son and family. Just designing and thinking about ideas here now. I hope to start soon though.

I want to start buying an axle, steel for frame, and check some profile designs on the CNC.

Duluth

Postby see2nen » Sat Oct 28, 2006 8:08 pm

We try to spend so time camping each summer in Duluth area. Good waterfalls south of Superior at a couple of state parks. Used to have a girl friend in Albuquerque, but that was back in late sixties.
