Hello all!

We are looking for ideas for a low profile low slung trailer to pull behind our 1954 or 1963 Triumphs convertibles. They are similar to todays Miatas.

We would like to make a trailer to tow behind the cars - that means really low weight and low profile. I'm looking at torsion axles maybe 10 or 22 degree offest to keep the trailer as low to the ground as possible. Height from ground to top I'm hoping to be less than 40 inches.

Does anyone have an example similar to this or can point us in a direction? I've poked around this site and have seen some really cool TD's.

I may have just the thing you want - I had started on a new Superleggera design when someone asked for a motorcycle trailer and so I adapted it to suit.





What may suit you well is that it's only got a 44" high body, compared to the normal 48", to cut the drag a bit. There's still, just, sitting headroom inside. For you application, the torsion axles could be dropped to get the bottom of the trailer down level with the underside of your Trumpets (you did know they are called that, right?.....).

Also these are about as lightweight as you will get.
