WELCOME VW; I'm new myself; but this forum is a God send if you're building anything associated with a Tear Drop.
If you plan to do any electical stuff, check out this thread.

This thread is one of the finest, simple , educational and professional group design of an electrical system for tear drops that I've seen. The amazing part is how numerous people worked together to build the final design. Only problem I've seen is getting them to Fresno to install it for me.
There seems to be some self proclaimed "Different People" with this group (you know the crazy types), and I'm doing my best to draw them out. Our Officals need to know about all the folks with a sense of humor, I'm sure they would reward a person handsomely for a list and more information on people that are enjoying their lives. There certainly could be a tax on fun loving "Different People".
But HONESTLY* These folks are all about helping us "Dumbies" enjoy the fun of building a Tear Drop. The only fun I've had so far is checking out all the "Hot Mamma's" at Lowe's. I think I'll find my next wife (after this one runs me off of course), at Lowe's. Hardware, Lumber, "Hot Mamma's", Lowe's has it all.
Picture of me pulling my tear drop out of the driveway, my nieghbors never help.
