Hi from Seattle

Hi, I'm officially delurking, so that the stupid questions may commence! I bought a half-finished TD a couple of months ago, after an almost fatally comical adventure bringing it home in the back of a box truck that did not have a sufficient ramp I am slowly getting it together. It's built on a frame from a Dixie trailer, it looks to be 50's era. The last owner says that the frame was originally from a teardrop, but I haven't found any Dixie TD manufacturers in my research.

The trailer is plywood, I'm in the process of putting aluminum skin over it. I remember now why I'm not a sheet metal guy!

I'm a furniture builder by trade, hopefully I'll have the time and patience to do it up right.

BTW, anyone know why I generally can't view photos that people have attached to their posts?

Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy,

As a new member here myself, and located north of you on Whidbey Island, I wanted to jump in here and say hello. That's a good looking rig you have there; I'm sure you'll really having looking superbly when you're finished.

I'll have to let others jump in on the photo thing.

Welcome Andy. It looks like you have a nice project there. To view photos you need to be logged in. when you log in check the box so you will stay logged in indefinitely until you clear your cookies. Come out to Monroe this coming weekend and meet and see a lot of TD's and their owners. :) Danny

 Another senior moment ;) I stand corrected. All those little towns that start with an "M" must mix me up  We want to see the old train station that we saw being moved on one of those Mega Movers programs (in Morton). :D Danny

Image to the playground Andy. Nice start on a TD you got there.

Photo's are only visible to members so be sure you are logged on. I see you have the posting photo's down pat so I won't nag you about the bubble oil. 8) There are no stupid questions so ask what ever you need. If we don't know we are really good at looking it up.
