Hello and Thanks!

I've been lurking this forum for a little over 2 years and have finally built something. Not a Tear, but a pretty bullet proof utility trailer. Even though it isn't a tear, I did get lots of ideas for it's construction in this forum. I consider it a warm up exercise for when I finally do build a tear. Of course I will build the frame myself. For those interested, the specs are...5x10 bed size, 5200# capacity axle with brakes. The idea was to be able to carry what my pickup can't. Well, again I say thanks to all who have posted valuable info on this site, it was very helpful and entertaining....Here are some pics...

Maybe I do have enough steel left to at least start on a frame

Nice utility trailer! I especially like the color. (yellow is one of my favorites) You will have had plenty of practice when it comes time to build the tear frame. Remember, it's never too early to start building....

Image to the playgound. Great utility trailer. Just needs some wood on it. Shouldn't need anywhere near that amount to do a Teardrop.

Enjoy

Yep, that trailer looks pretty bullet proof. If you build your tear the same way, it's going to weigh a ton!!!

But I can tell you're having fun. So when does the TD build start?

Thanks for the welcomes! So I think I'm going to build a Weekender. I've got most of the steel I need for the frame already, I just need to come up with an excuse to make the trip to the steel supplier for 2 more pieces. In the meantime I've got to clean the garage, build a shed, remodel at least one bathroom. Oh, and work too.... But I'll get it done!

Welcome to the forum. Hope you start on your build. I'm curious to see what you will be putting on that heavy duty trailer.

BTW. I have an aunt that lives in Florence, NJ.
