The only words of wisadom I can think of is

DON'T DO IT.
You will catch a terrible sickness that can only be cured by ...well there is no cure yet.

This also opens you up to other sickness like the urge to cook using a Dutch Oven(DO) and then having to buy every piece you see

So I say stop now before it is too late........too late

Welcome to the fun house

Thanks for the responses! I am, as I write watching my husband assembling. (i'm supervising) We're building a Cubby. I have a 1979 convertible volkswagon bug that i'm hoping to be able to pull this with one day.

This is going to be so much fun! :D

Yeah, go for it!

Since your veedub engine is air cooled, do look into adding an oil cooler and an extra capacity oil sump that holds more oil. I must admit, I haven't looked at anything for older VW's in a couple of decades - I assume these are still available. :NC

Smitty Smith.....

thanks for the advice. The parts for the VW are not too hard to find except the exhaust for my particular year. You just have to hunt around a little.
