Hello,
Im a new member and also from Finland same as Classic Finn. :thumbsup: Im here to gather information from your builds and hopefully get to start my own during next winter. I currently live in Ireland, County Cork (Rebel County), but im planning on moving back to Finland in few months time. Ive always liked the classic cars and used to own a chevrolet starcraft van in Finland before so vannin is nothing new to me either.

I am interested in building a small teardrop that I plan to tow with my Classic Mini Cooper.. :twisted: [/img]

Ah, so the Finnish delegation has doubled in size... watch out folks, they are taking over..!! /g/

Welcome to the group.. will be interesting to see what design you come up with... I can tell you now, it will probably weigh more than you think it will.. may need to supercharge that mini... I've always liked minis. Never could figure out how they made them bigger on the inside than the outside....

Have to say that you are on to something on this one! :) Would be some useful info for building a teardrop too.. :lol:

Well Flying Finn its quite easy actually once ya get done building it.. Its turned inside out... but there,s a trick to it.. :lol: :lol:

I wondered the same thing at 1st.. the cooking and sleeping... The question was do you really sleep in that thing? And the reply was ...

Or are you talking about the size of the Mini? Ohh well the same rule applies.. :D :D

You really want to move back to Finland... Im ready to move out.. :lol: :lol:

Before you start building though..make sure you read the Finnish as well as the Eu laws on building your tear. So you dont run into problems..
Aslo make sure the hitch is one that has been EU Approved, Also all Lighting.

Save yourself a lot of headaches..and money. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Flying Finn what part of Finland are you from? Im presently living just outside of Helsinki but Im from the Tampere vacinity.

Then you definitely need to start reading the 'lightweight' threads as a classic Cooper may have power but it doesn't have a lot of weight.

Perhaps you should look for the classic British teardrop of the same period, the Berkeley Caravette:

Also Im curious as to what the weight amount is the oldie cooper can pull versus the new model.
