Hello from the midwest

Postby GaryInOmaha » Thu Jul 12, 2007 8:48 am

Greetings to all. Like others, I have been lurking in the background for months and finally decided to register.

I am a couple of years from retirement and plan to visit every state in the Continental US before I get too old and senile. With the price of gas the way it is, what better way to pull this off than in a teardrop.

I have to give kudos to Tom Swenson. His website hooked me on the teardrop idea and his instructions inspired me to build my own trailer.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty and
well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally
worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
"WOW - What a Ride!"

Thanks everyone.

Don't think I'm senile? My plan is to build my tear while still working, then retire, sell my house, then hit the road for 48 continuous weeks >> 7 days in each state.

Yeah--you're senile:

48 states at 7 days each equals...

Wait, You're not so senile. Your math is right. Those two incontiguous states totally threw me off.

But 7 days even in DELAWARE!?

My neighbor's BACKYARD is bigger than that state.
Here we go again!
