A Big Wave From Oklahoma!

Postby pendleton » Thu Jul 19, 2007 1:25 pm

Hey everyone! I just happened to stumble across this site, and it's looks like everyone around here has alot of fun.

My background is in architecture and I love designing and building things with my hands. I do alot of metal fabrication, too, so maybe I will make a teardrop some day soon. For now, I'm enjoying reading the threads and looking at the projects everyone is working on! :)

Hey, welcome aboard. There're several "okies" on the board who've built some nice teardrops. Where are you in Oklahoma?

Hi Pendleton, come on in and join the fun. So, Architecture is your bag, well you have come to the right place. Attention, fellow teardroppers, hopefully, we are about to experience a one of-a-kiind tear unlike any other. I have worked with many architects during my 55 years of commercial construction, and those guys are extreamly talented.

I don't know how serious you are, or how soon you hope to get started, but keep checking this forum, ask questions and look at all of the wonderful designs and shapes and you will be hooked, like the rest of us.

If you can visit a teardrop gathering somewhere in your area, you will meet the most friendly campers, who will be more than happy to share their thoughts and experiences with you. Good luck.

Roly.... remembering the awsome memorial to those that perished during the bombing of the Federal Building in your beautiful city.

Hey Pendleton,

Welcome neighbor.... Since you're interested, try to make it to a gathering or two.... lot's to see and add to the imagination, before you start to build.... there are a few coming up in the general area.... Lynn's nifty fifty in Kansas in September (see her thread) my Last Gasp the end of September in Colorado and LCG 2.0 the end of October in Louisiana.,... just to name a few. I'll be at all three with my Cherry Drop and would love to play show and tell... And mine is one of the more simpler ones out there... Be sure to look at the albums.... there are more idea's on this board than you can imagine!!! Welcome!

Welcome to the playground! You won't find a better group of people than these around here. Try to make it to one of the gatherings coming up. You'll be glad you did.
