New one here

Postby Kim Armstrong » Sun Jul 22, 2007 2:23 pm

Well actually I've been out here since April but never introduced myself. Found this sight and now I can't get away from here. My wife Carol and me are going to a gathering this coming weekend at Petit Jean State Park and hope to get to meet some of you all. We don't have a teardrop yet but I've been waiting for this gathering to get some ideals and knowledge so I can get started. Also I have another project going right now but I have a feeling after this weekend it will be gathering dust. Glad I found you all. Kim Armstrong Hope this all post right. I'm computer challenged as I peck away at this. :?

Welcome to the forum, or at least out of the wood work so to speak. You'll see a lot of nice trailers and meet a bunch of great people at Petit Jean. Looking forward to meeting you there.

To the playground Kim. I know you will have a great time at Petite Jean cause there are a bunch of really great people going. Have fun and take a camera and notepad with you. You will want to make notes of whose Td you are looking at and what you want to copy. Makes looking up the builds on the forums easier too.

Enjoy

Welcome to the forum Kim,

You don't look THAT computer challenged... All you need to have fun here is the ability to peck at a keyboard, and take pictures...

So after your visit to Petite Jean, I'd like to hear what you are planning on building...

Have fun!

Mike...

Kim, welcome to our group of endless interested teardrop and tiny trailer builders and users. Stuff all of the other projects onto the back burner and do get started on the experience of a lifetime. Building the teardrop is an event worthy of many pics and often promotes the asking of questions regarding the methods previous builders have used. Be sure to ask any if you need more info on any phase of construction.

Good luck on your build, and be sure to post those pics.

Welcome Kim
Looking foward to meeting you and everyone else this weekend.
Look at as much as possible before you build. I did not see any tears in person just pics before I started my build.
It looks like a good turnout this weekend. I just hope the weather is good to us.
See ya soon
Rich :)

Thanks for the welcome! I have not seen a teardrop in person so that's why I have not started on one. I don't know if it is harder to build a larger tear than a smaller one but I think I'm looking at a 5 wide and 10 long. Can't wait till Saturday.

Welcome Kim !!! I'm hoping to be there this Friday too... run away from home for a weekend !!! haha

My best advice has been to see one in person, lift the hatch, lay down inside, walk all around, and most of all - don't be shy !!! Ask questions, take pictures, and be friendly -- we're a fun and friendly bunch !!!

See ya !!
