I should of taken a left at Albuquerque. Hi from a New Gir

I finally joined :woohoo: I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. I have to put USA at the end because alot of people mistake New Mexico the state with Mexico the country. We are the void that is in between Arizona and Texas. Well any way I have been a long time tent camper and I want somthing that is a couple of steps up from tent camping but not totaly removed (like RVing) from camping. I am still dreaming of building a TD I don't have the funds presently to build one just yet but I want to soak up as much of this stuff as possible.

Thanks
Mandy

Hi Mandy!

It's nice to see another lady join us. I too have camped for years in a tent and am now a teardropper. Tears are nice because you get a nice bed, but you are still camping (as opposed to RVing).

There is a lot of information available here, so you can start doing your research. Keep one thing in mind, you don't have to pay for all of your materials right up front. A lot of us have built as our budget allowed.

Again, welcome aboard!

Joanne

Hello Mandy! If you aren't sure what to build, attend a rally... that will get you jump-started right quick! (Maybe I should take my own advice sometime too.) Beats the heck out of sleeping on the ground and having to check your clothes for scorpions in the morning! Good luck on the new adventure! --Vic

Welcome Mandy
Hope you enjoy the forum. I was close to New Mexico this month when I went to Amarillo to visit my son and his family. :)
