Hi Everyone,
I have been reading this site for 2 weeks and have learned a lot from it. I want to build the 8 foot Li'l Bear and yesterday I ordered the profile template and trailer plans from Grant and he has emailed info which will save me a lot of time...
I am retired and single so the teardrop design will work out great for me. I am going to build the trailor this winter when I get back to Arizona then I want to spend the whole summer roaming around the mountain states looking for good fly fishing spots in those cold mountain streams...
This is a great board with lots of info and I want to thank everyone...

Welcome, bogbean! You will laugh, cry, and even cuss a little, if you are like most of us building a teardrop! What part of AZ are you located in?

Bogbean, you found the right place if'n you are going to build one, and being single and retired, I can't think of a better plan, less'n your knees give out. I will be retiring in about a year and 4 months and will be the scorge of the intermountain west... eeee haaa

to the playground/adult day care center...

Oh how I wish I could roam those cold mountain streams and learn to fly fish right..

Lot of pictures helps. Pictures of mountain streams are good as well as fish pictures... We even have a whole section just for trips pictures. 8) ;)

Enjoy the planning!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. There will be two of us building this tear. My Sister and Brother-In -Law have a winter home in Quartzsite, AZ and we will build the tear there. I have been spending a lot of time designing this tear and most of the ideas have came from members of this board. I hope my tear turns out as good as the teardrops I have seen here...Thanks Again...

Welcome Bogbean, Your choice for Grant's Li'l Bear is excellent  IMHO. I made the 5'x10' and it has lots of cabin space and cabinets. The roll pans can be a challenge but well worth the effort, they give the tear a real polished look. Are you making the flat front or the radius front? The flat front gives more cabinet space, if that's what you want. If anyone knows about teardrops it's Grant. What's your first name? :D Danny

Hi Danny....Thank you for the welcome. You have a very nice looking tear  I am going to use the round front because I like the looks. I am going to build a 5X8 with 15" Ford wheels to match my Ford Ranger....Thanks again for the welcome...Cheers...Chuck
