Another Newbie here. I was at Lake Tahoe The 2 nd week of of Aug. and at the classic boat show in Carnelian Bay saw the most Awesome teardrop, wood sides and hatch to match the classic Chris Craft & Aqua Riva boats  and we decided we need one of those. Our kids are all out of the house now so Camping is just the two of us. I looked online for a few days now and discovered this site and all the info. on it. I am a Owner/ builder consultant and have a plenty of woodworking experience, home building etc. I am ready to get started on this project. Dave

Welcome to the forum boomboomtulum... you type that whole name everytime you log in? You must be one heck of a typer.

You got any pictures of the wood working projects you've done in the past. We'd love to see them.

Mike...

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Hi Dave, bummer, I missed the wooden boat show, but would have loved to have seen it. Do you recall who owns the wooden teardrop that you saw at the show? Perhaps you have some pics you could share with us. As a professional woodworker, you should have no trouble building just about the finest teardrop on the road. It really helps to have worked with wood a lot, and there are a number of us builders on the board who would be very interested in what project you have in mind. Welcome to the madness, you will fit in here just perfectly.

Roly, envious of wooden boat owners and their dedication to keeping them running and in perfect shape.

8) Hi Dave,
Welcome to the forum and Teardrop Land. Check out the link below and see if it peaks your interest for a mid-summer Gathering in 2008 here in the Redw00ds. Perhaps you will have a chance to see the long awaited unveiling of the TD(s) that Dean has been building. Enjoy the building and the satisfaction upon completion.

Thanks everybody for the welcome.
I have looked at several trailers and decided I will build me own. It will be a 5 x8 or 10 not sure on that yet. I want a Full size matt. Any advice from you all would be taken.
No I didnt get any pictures of the tear at Tahoe but it was beautiful.
