Welcome Chris !
IF you have an idea of the shape of the trailer then start with that.
If you are still not shure try the Hall of Fame at the top.
The next thing to think about what all do you need in the trailer.
The next thing is make a cardboard model Full size or to some scale and see how everything you want is going to fit in the trailer.
Next is think over all those thing will not all fit in the trailer and what can you do without.
The list gets smaller.
And smaller.
Then you are ready.
Then you can deside on a size ( hint at least 60" inside wide you will not regret ).
Some can do the minimalist of 46" inside it is up to you ( make a cardboard box the inside dim. and set in it if you like it then go for it - you can do the same thing with a blanket chairs and brooms ) and put your stuff that will be in the cabin with you in the model space.

Have fun and camp like the rest of us.

Image to the playground Chris. It is part of the normal learning curve. When you get it right in your head you can build it. Just remember it is only a box  Lots of boxes. ;)

And keep the bubble oil level with some :pictures: :pictures:

Welcome, Chris, you have come to the right place. Joining this group, makes you eligible to have a large group of consultants, available to answer any of your questions, 24 hours a day.

Check out the various info sites, choose the style, size, exterior covering material, various bells and whistles and go ahead and start your build. Take pics as you go along, you'll never have that chance again, then post 'em, 'cause we just love pics.

Chris...you're not in over your head....just sort out all the details and think about how you want to camp and what is important to you. Make a list, then find the profile that will fit it all in. Or you could be a maverick and just do your own thing....and there ain't nothing wrong with that! No rules here....Doug
