Fabrice, Welcome to the forum.
I don't know any French, but I'm sure someone that does will pop in soon to welcome you properly in your language, and possibly act as a translator for the rest of us.

Hey, my French might suck, but I KNOW that that is wrong.

By the way:

Did you hear the one about the French government that wouldn't let us use their airspace to bomb Qadaffi?

And please--no crap about me not being nice to our new Froggie. He doesn't know WHAT the hell I'm writing here anyway.

Nope, it's fine - a literal translation would be "that you amuse yourself", so it's exactly the same as you'd say it in English. But I don't think the French has any overtone of 'onanistic pleasure'.....

Bienvenue, Fabrice.

Image to the playground Fabrice. My husband (Uncle Mike) used a translator. As it turned around the words I think I will leave the translation to you! :)

We hope to be of assistance if needed and to receive lots of photographs of your Teardrop as you build.

Enjoy

Hello,
Thanks to everyone for the welcome.
I'm writing in French as I don't believe the translation tool is accurately converting what I've written into English.
I hope there hasn't been a mistake owing to a bad translation.*
Otherwise, yes, I will be posting photos of my construction of one of these teardrops.
Good evening to you all.
In friendship,
Fabrice.

*Ira*, Fabrice is not a diplomat of France from so long ago.

Fabrice, your translation is correct.

Fabrice, we will help as we are able. The humor of Ira is suspect and to be ignored when rude. ;) 8)

Bienvenue Fabrice,

Greg

P. S. To the non French speaking - I have doubtless proven to Fabrice that I can butcher his beautiful language as effectively as I butcher wood. Other than that, I questioned Ira's ancestry and explained about his misbegotten youth so that Fabrice would understand what we have to put up with.

O.K. so I lied a little about that, but I bet Ira reread what I wrote to see if his name was in there!   Actually, I welcomed him and asked him where he was from as I spent a year and a half in France at some of the above-mentioned cities some (Ouch!) 25 years ago. I also mentioned that I never had to write French and that that must be evident. I also wished him well on the construction of his "cool thingamajig".
I'm not dead, yet. I'm feeling better.
