Hi every one.

Just popped into to introduce myself.

im 27 from Chicago burbs.

Been infatuated with teardrops since i saw a special on them a few years ago. Finally have the space will and want to actually build one of these guys now.

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for stroking the fire, and all the helpful info i have gotten from here, and surely will.

Hey thanks.

im hoping for a 5x10 based off the gen benroy above. Im decent enough with carpentry, but horrible at welding, so i plan to build on a 5x8 purchased utility trailer.

Id really like shore power and 12v as I want options to be open in terms of where i can go

as for contruction, im really torn on 1/2 or 3/4 plywood walls, vs a framed wall.

relativly simple gally, with a cooler tray, 5-7 gat water tank, and a camping stove.

im just tired of not camping as much as i would like because of the hassle of the setup to sleep on a airmattress. teardrops really appeal to me in that way, as they are simple, comfortable, easy setup, and ,ightyears above a tent, without the hassle of a popup.

I had a large older jayco popup and i sold it cause it was just a pain in terms of all of the above, plus storage of the camper was a headache as it monopolized the garage.

ist things first, i gotta get a hitch on my escape. :lol

Hi Eric,

Welcome to the forum. Seems like you've developed a plan, now get out there and make sawdust. Before you know it, you'll be done.

See you around.
