take all the external dimensions from page 17 and multiply by 1.25 and you have a 5x10
( 1.5 and you have a 6 x 12 )
Tada !
Growing older but not up !

Hi deano,

Welcome to the forum. As soon as you decide what you want to build, just get in and start making sawdust and it will be finished before you know it. Be sure and post pictures of your progress, so the rest of the gang can keep up with your progress.

See you around.

Welcome Deano
You should have good access to parts with Winnebego in your town. :)

That was my thought exactly. A town noted for it's mega-rv's and your building a teardrop. How cool is that. Welcome to the greatest forum for information you will ever find. Hope we run into each other at a campground or gathering this summer. Dennis

Deano,

I think you can go with 2x2's but remember you will be building out over your wheels. A 5'x10' trailer is 6" on each side and 12" on the front and back if built on a 4'x8' trailer frame.

Also I would waterproof the underside with some strong stuff and any wood end pieces so that you are not rebuilding because of wood rot.

Welcome deano,
We are having a get together 1 hour north of Mpls. on May31st-June 1st.
Get that trailer together and come on up! Or come up and get some ideas.
We'd be glad to have you.

I just started my 2nd one. I used a HF trailer and it is only 4 X 8 but what I use on the underside is undercoating. Get about 6 cans at Walmart. About $4 a can.
