Hello From Eastern Pa. (Allentown)

Hello All,
I am so glad that I found this forum. When gas hit $3.00 a gallon I thought that I was going to have to give up any hope of traveling adventures. I was stuck in that big old trailer/motor home with slide outs frame of mind.
That is until I saw a few of the beautiful tears and ttt's that you folks have built. I am hooked! I love a challenge, and putting together a floor plan that had everything that I wanted into a smaller space really wasn't that difficult, and with the wealth of knowledge here I am pretty sure that I can garner most of the construction details that I will need.
I don't really know if what I have in mind still qualifies as a ttt, but I'm sure gonna give it a shot. Looking at a 6 x 12 living space that has a shower and john ( a must to entice the Mrs.) A single bunk that expands to a double. And a full inside galley. Interior height will be around 76" to give me a 1/2" hat clearance. Profile leans toward a retro style, something between a cargo box and a canned ham. Goal is to keep weight well within the range of a 1/2 ton pickup. Most of my travel will be solo fishing trips.
I am enjoying reading all the great info you folks have posted, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions. Sorry about the rambling!.LOL
Looking forward to meeting some nice folks on the road.

Hey Russ,

Welcome to the forum...

Have you already checked out the Generic ET? It's about the same size as what you are planning on... The ET is in the Hall of Fame...

Have fun building, and take pictures... lots of pictures...

Mike...

Russ,

Welcome to the board. I'm in Manchester, PA (York area) and it is good to see another from PA. There are a few of us here.

We are having a gathering at Gifford Pinchot Park at the end of May. You should come on over and meet everyone and have a look at all of the tears and TTTs that will be there (I think we are up to 18 at this point)

Info on the gathering here: http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=21718

Hope to see around the campfire!!

Image To the playground Russ. Big seems to be in these days. Just about anything you can imagine is doable but remember the braking needs. Can't really do a tank hauler.

Enjoy the site and Keep the bubble oil level with lots of :pictures: :pictures: :pictures:
