Hello from Eurkea California

Postby cincin » Wed Apr 23, 2008 8:23 am

Hi everyone. I live in Eureka, but sort of new to the area as I've only been here for 2 years. I hope this is where I am suppose to post this, if not, please let me know. This website is wonderful with all the best information and great photos and ideas. I'm single and would love to build my own TD. I plan on attending IRG 2.0 if there are any spots left. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Thanks,
Cindy in Eureka

Hi Cincin,
Welcome to the forum and to teardropping. You will find that Eureka and the Humboldt area is a minor hotbed of teardrops. Kevin A, Dean, and I all live in Eureka and Ken and Eunice live in Fortuna. There are some others around as well. If you want to see some tears just give us a shout. You might also consider a visit to the 15th Dam Gathering the weekend of May 1-4 over at Lake Shasta.

Jerome

Seeing a Teardrop

Postby cincin » Wed Apr 23, 2008 8:37 pm

Jerome Hi and I am so glad that you told me who was from around here. I would love to come and see your trailers. I've never see a Teardrop in person and now that my interest is in camping and I've learned to love them it's time to crawl in one to see if I feel comfortable and if I really like it as much as I think I will.

Thanks to everyone for saying Hi and being so kind. It's great to be here.

Hi Cindy, welcome to the Forum. I will be doing the Dam Gathering and the IRG. I can't wait to get back into Northern California and especially the Eureka area-it has been many years. Hope to see you at one or both of the gatherings.

Hi Cindy,
Welcome to the forum. If you are willing to PM me, I'd love to talk to you in person and give you the scoop here locally. Check out the IRG link and you'll see that there is currently space available at Pampling Grove in July. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Cindy and Welcome!

Great part of the country you live in. It certainly is one of the most healthy areas in America - great farmer's markets, etc.

As much as I love Arizona, I equally love having access to California. Now having tapped into this wonderful teardroppin' community - it only makes it better! So tap tap away Cindy!

Hi Cindy, welcome aboard. The IRG is the place to be and many fine teardrops, you will see. Do you plan to camp while there, and if so, in what? With your interests, you just gotta have a teardrop and join in on the campfires, star-filled skies, marshmellow treats, wonderful dutch oven tasties and, oh yes, the friendliest bunch of folks you'll ever meet.

Roly ;) See you beneath the trees, (I'll be the oldest guy there, the one with the termite-eaten, dry-rotting, aging woody teardrop and my 5 lb Killer dog........Liza.)

Everyone is so nice, thanks for the warm welcome. ;)

I registered myself and a lady friend of mine for the IRG in July and haven't seen our names posted on the roster yet so I'm not sure if I made it in time, I sure hope so.

I love all the photos and there are so many beautiful home builts I'm just blown away and can hardly wait to see them all and meet everyone.

I'll be in a tent so please, be kind to this Teardropper want-a-be.

Thanks again,
Cindy
