Hi Randel
You just did. Welcome to the forum. Do you have a tear or TTT or are you going to build one. Tell us a little about yourself and your hopes and dreams.

We have a Winter Warrior which is a TTT because you can stand up in it. You can't in a tear. But we like the extra room.

Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

You must attend a meeting (usually in a church), then introduce yourself using
your first name only, then telling everyone your a dropaholic. Everybody will welcome
you using your first name. Then each person will tell the story of how they became
a dropaholic and for how long.
Oh wait. thats another meeting. Oh well Welcome.

Hey Randel,

Welcome to the forum.

What are you planning on building?

Mike...

P.S. Do you have a camera?
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Postby randel wyrick » Thu May 08, 2008 10:58 am

HEY GUYS, THANKS FOR THE WELCOME! I HOPE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS SITE SOON, ABOUT ME, I AM A YOUNG 46, AND LIVE IN HANFORD CA. SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND THE SIERRAS. IVE ALWAYS ENJOYED CAMPING AND TEARDROPS AND TTT'S. IVE OWNED A COUPLE OF TRAILERS INCLUDING A 57 SCOTTSMAN 13 FT, AT PRESENT I AM IN PROCESS OF BUILDING ON A 69 CARDINAL FRAME. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO TEAR IT DOWN BECAUSE OF EXTENSIVE ROT. THE BASIC LIVING AREA WIL BE AN OPEN BOX 7 WIDE BY 12 LONG BY 6.5 TALL WITH A UNIQUE SHAPE. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO USE THE ROOF AS AN OBSERVATION PLATFORM, LOUNGING ETC. OF COURSE WITH STURDY LIGHTWEIGHT RAILING THAT FOLDS DOWN DURING TRAVEL. MY QUESTION, WHATS THE BEST WOOD FOR FLOORING,3/4 PLYWOOD?,FRAMING FOR STRENGTH, FIR? I AM TRYING TO KEEP THIS AS LIGHT AS POSSIBLE! DESIGNS & PICS TO FOLLOW. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, THANKS, RANDEL.

Randel,

Welcome to the forum. On account of the fact that Gage (a member here) has extremely sensitive ears, perhaps you might turn off your CAPS LOCK key. We'd all love to help you with your project.

Thanks,

Greg

(sorry Gage, you're just the first person I thought of)

 Imageto the playground Randel. The floor depends on what you want----literally and how much jumping around you plan on doing.

A lot of members build boxes with insulation in between thiner layers.

Enjoy and :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: Keep the bubble oil level. ;)
