Howdy from Texas

Hi!,

I am the other half of Trail of Tears, I would like to say the better half, but he is a really cool guy, so I think he gets that title. We are going to build our second tear and I get to be in charge of the design of this one. I LOVE our first tear, but our family has grown and I need a bigger one. I am a stay at home Mom of two extremely active boys ages 2 1/2 and 5 and my husband suggested that I become a member so that I can learn more before we get started on our 2nd one, since I have a little more time to visit the site, than he does right now. So I am looking forward to meeting everyone and learning!

Welcome to the Forum! Haven't heard from you (well, Steve anyway) in a while. I guess you didn't make the move, but we did. Hope all is well.

Been wondering what happened to y'all. You've missed a few fun gatherings. we all look forward to seeing progress on number "Too."
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Bonnie,
Welcome to the forum. As I am sure you already know, there is a wealth of help and information available. Have you thought about what kind of trailer you are going to build? Will the kids be inside or outside in a tent? So many decisions!

Hey Bonnie !!!! and send a hug to Steve too !!! I was wondering what happened with y'all but I remember what it's like with toddlers/kids and thought you certainly were busy or ran out of room !!!!

I remember your cute little boy and his excitement about the teardrop you were in at the first LCG campout.... and you had those matchy matchy shirts ....

Good luck on the next teardrop... come camp with us soon !!!!

Aren't you around north / central Texas???

Julie

Image to the playground Bonnie. Always nice to meet the better/other half. I don't remember sleeping when my children were that small. Lord the things they could get into if I did. There are a couple of TTT's in the Member design and non-traditional design sections that make for interesting builds. If you need some with bunks let me know. Got them all in one place now. 8) Almost.

Enjoy the planning and hope to meet some day.

Yeah!!! I am soo excited!!! :D Thank you all for the welcome!!! Wow, such great memories of the '06 Louisiana gathering are just flooding back right now! That was a fun weekend! We were sad that we missed out last year, we had a prior commitment.

Lgboro - I love this site and I LOVE all of the pictures!!! I am soo excited to be apart of this build, I think I might drive Steve (my DH) a little crazy.

asianflava - Steve was telling me you moved! Darn! He is working in Austin now - go figure, right? Where did you move to? Hope to keep in touch through this group. Please tell your wife 'hi' for me! Thank you.

tonyj - OMG, I hope that you are doing well since Dolly is paying a visit to the Texas coast! How is your adorable dog doing? Give him a hug for us! We will try to be better about making the gatherings. We have had a very busy year so far, but it looks like things are a little more calm now so hopefully we can be more active with the group again! I can't wait for number 'Too' to be completed as well!!

Jim T - I know, there are so many decisions to make! But it is also so much fun!! Kids will be inside, they are still a little too young to be out in a tent by themselves right now. At the moment, I really like Rob's Cabin Car and Steve really likes the large T@b, so I would imagine it will be somewhere in between that, we will definitely keep you all posted of the progress.

oklahomajewel - How are you! And yes, we have run out of room but we still use the tear! We just love it too much to stop using it, plus it is hard to go back to tent camping, once you have been spoiled by the tear. Parker still has his great enthusiasm! Hopefully we will make it to this year's gathering or future gathering.

Miriam C. - Life has been very busy with 2 boys, oh the things they can get into! Keeps life very interesting and a lot of fun - most of the time! :) We have still been using our little tear, we have tried to get at least one of the boys to sleep in a hammock that we rigged up, but some how they both end up in bed with us, which makes for a very uncomfortable night's sleep, so bunks are definitely in the picture for the new tear, well I guess it will be a TTT. Can't wait to meet you.

Again, thank you all for the wonderful welcomes, I am so glad that I am now officially apart of this great group!! Just to let you all know we will be in Balmorhea State Park on August 6-9 so if your in the area or feel like camping come join us! As I said above, even though we have out grown our little tear we are still using it - we will just make do until the new one is built!

Take Care,
Bonnie
