Don't own a teardrop yet but have wanted one as long as I can remember! A relative had one when I was small and we saw it often on family get togethers. The last time I saw it, it was in the back of someone's barn and no one had an interest in it. When my own children were grown I tried to hunt it down but to no avail. Even the barn is gone! And no one seems to recall what happened to it. I'm sure it would have been great fun to restore! I will probably never build one but I will be keeping my eyes open to buy a used one and maybe modify it to my desires if need be. In the meantime, this forum is wonderful for photos, advice, plans, ideas and just plain fun! After lurking for awhile, thought I'd say hi!
A little background info on us. Transplanted from Iowa to Florida and loving it. Economy is forcing the both of us into new careers. His is gardening for a resort and mine is returning to school for practical nursing. We're not fancy. Just plain folk.
Nice to meet you all!
